Bay Area Beat TV is here to work with independent musicians, artists, and filmmakers to show case their craft on community television. Bay Area Beat TV's first broadcast aired in June of 2009 Al and Matt filmed over 700 videos until Bay Area Beat TV became a web based program on bayareabeattv.com in April 2016. Bay Area Beat TV was filmed at Marin TV we show cased Tito, Rev. Rebia, and Rebecca Roundman, and Home Brew 707.
As of April 2016 Bay Area Beat TV has been a web based program on bayareabeattv.com Projects before airing Bay Area Beat TV on Marin TV. Al Amis founded The Palm Gardens Blues Band and become Producer of Voodoo Hut Recording with his best friend Bobby aka Squid B in 1982. They did many projects in music recording and now doing podcasts with Voodoo Hut Recording. Al Amis majored in photo journalism from the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department.
Matthew Amis became a Segment Producer to Asia Powers at Comcast Community TV Marin Channel 31 from 1997 to 2009 Asia and Matthew Amis produced over 900 videos of her real estate cable show "The Good News Network". Matthew Amis did social media on all projects for Asia and also for Bay Area Beat TV.
Matt Amis majored in Cinema Production at College of Marin so did Matthew Amis's best friend Matt Brown. Mr. Brown majored in Cinema Production as well at LA City College. Mr. Amis and Mr. Brown best friends have weekly chats about cinema films, Biblebooks, and sports. They have supported each other by showing and obeying the golden rule to each other since 2007.
Matt Amis was part of the College of Marin Newspaper and won awards while on staff. Matt interned while at College of Marin at Marin Channel 31 on Comcast Community TV under the mentorship of cable talk show hosts Tica Lyons who won national awards for her show on healthcare and city hall issues her program under the leadership of the Social Justice Center of Marin and the San Francisco Chapter of The Alliance for Community Media where Ms. Lyons was President of both groups during the 1990s. Matt also interned with the Rev. Dr. Luzette Mc Donald with the Spiritual Enrichment Center of Marin The Rev. Dr. Amis learned a lot from those two cable talk show hosts.
Matthew Amis is an Ordained Minister for the Universal Life Church he can direct weddings, baptismal services, and funerals all as a freelancer. Amis prayed with homeless clients with the Saint Vincent De Paul Society at Saint Raphael's Church for years and worked on a show about AA and NA recovery was a segment producer for Comcast Community TV. Pastor Matthew joined a weekly support group on compulsive food behaviors assisting these souls in recovery. Matthew Amis got a Honorary Doctor of Divinity (DD) Degree this degree has been tested and approved in the Federal Courts, it is valid and valuable as any doctorate issued by any religious organization. He got this honorary degree in 2020 from the Universal Life Church as was ordained with them in 2016. He holds a 4 year degree from the Marin ROP Vocational School in Radio Operations and has a double major and graduated with honors from the College of Marin in Health Sciences in nursing home programming and filmmaking. He has worked in both fields for over 20 years.
